Product description

The OPOCOM SST Flat Drop Cable is designed for FTTH access networks and fiber drop applications where compact construction, mechanical protection, and easy installation are required. The dielectric structure eliminates the need for bonding and grounding, making the cable suitable for installations where non-metallic construction is preferred.

The cable uses 1 to 2 fibers with G652D or G657A single-mode fiber options. A 0.9mm LSZH tight buffer provides individual fiber protection, while aramid yarn and a 1.6mm G-FRP strength member reinforce the cable structure. The HDPE outer sheath provides additional environmental and mechanical protection.

With a compact 4.5 x 7.0 mm cable profile and a net weight of approximately 38 kg/km, the SST flat drop cable is easy to handle, transport, route, and install. Its gel-free construction also simplifies cable preparation and helps reduce installation complexity.

The cable is suitable for preconnectorized assemblies and FTTH drop applications requiring compatibility with standard installation practices and hardware.
